No, don't go to church and stop watching it on TV!
Churches, and Christianity, are about social control, not spirituality. Be a free thinker! Dare to seek the truth on your own!
After receiving a message from someone it became obvious that I need to make my position clear - I certainly would recommend to anyone that they read the Bible and try church, just don't accept is without questioning. Read everything! the Bible, Quran, Buddhism, Hinduism, Wicca, philosophy, science, mythology, etc - it all has something to offer and only by open exploration can you approach the truth.

Going to church or watching it on TV isn't good enough to 'redeem your soul'. Getting to heaven is about way more than actions. It's about living a good life, following the commandments, doing the best with what God gave you. It is so wrong to think that your actions will get you into heaven. Can an alcoholic who goes out drinking every night and beats his wife, but shows up in church on Sunday only to go out again that night and drink and abuse his wife get into heaven? I don't think so. Not unless he makes some serious life changes.

Going to church can be an awesome experience if you get connected to God. The reason church is boring for some people is because they are not connected to God and have no purpose is life. When you find your purpose in the will of God, then you will experience another side of God that you never saw before. The congregation is the gathering place whereby believers can come together and experience God and hear from Him. When you get into a church which is moving in God, then you will hear answers from God concerning your everyday situations. Then you will experience greater peace, health, prosperity, and every other thing that you desire. Watching it on T.V. alone will not bring the full experience of God to you, because their is no sacrifice on your part. If you are going to truly experience God to the fullest it will require sacrifice, even as Christ sacrificed for us.

The interaction with the Church family is important.
There are SO many denominations out there. Talk with friends, ask where they go, ask if you can go with them sometime.
Also, lots of Churches have multiple services - some more traditional and others contemporary with bands instead of organs and upbeat, happy songs.
I was raised in a traditional Church, but I really enjoy the contemporary services. It seems they are more relevant to what is happening in the world today. And they tend to have "small groups" you can join - to make friends and to study a topic you find interesting.
Keep looking. Finding the right Church can take a while, but when you find THE one, it's like coming home.

Your soul is redeemed by Christ's blood when you desire it enough to become a Christian.
Going to church or watching it on TV doesn't do it.
However, if you want to make God happy, go to church. Be active. Sing, pray. Support other Christians.
When I was a child, I never really loved going to my grandma's house. It was boring. But we went anyway, and it meant everything to her.

Going to church in person OR watching it on TV will not redeem your soul. You can never work hard enough to get into heaven, because if you have sinned, the wages of sin is (are?) death.
I can't really tell if your question is serious or sarcastic. But the answer is no, and the answer to the implied assumption is also no.

No watching it on TV is not good enough because the Word says to not forsake the gathering together of the brethern. If you don't like Church that much you might not be going to the right church. What sacrifice is a couple of hours compared to His sacrifice.

The Scripture says that we are not "to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some men is" because "How can they hear (the Word) without a preacher?" TV is a great marketing tool for the Word, but to physically be among God's people is what He desires the most in this case.
