"Children are abused as a part of gods religious experience."

How many of you who believe in god actually agree with this statement, and how many of you think it is absolute ridiculous nonsense, and makes god look like like an ***hole?

My opinion is that the person who said that has a really twisted view of God. I can't imagine that God would allow children to be abused for the "religious experience" of it, because that's assuming that the child will grow up to find or fall away from God as a result, as if only one or the other can happen.

The less wordy part of my opinion is that the person who said that should be punched in the groin. Children are abused because there are sick a$$holes in the world. I'm sorry, but God's not going to ordain or decree that children are to be abused as part of his plan. That's not in the Bible, anywhere, and I don't even believe in a Christian God as many people see him.

Yuck. I think I've just thrown up in my mouth a little.

It seems incredibly honest to me. If God created everything, surely he had to create child molestation. If you want to say it came from free will, well God created that, so back to God again. Since God has done nothing to stop child molestation (when surely he can) I'd have to say it is part of God's plan. Nothing happens that is not part of God's plan.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Whover was the jerk who wrote that should be slapped. I believe in God and I believe that God will see to it that these pedophiles will be punished when their time comes. We all are God's children and for someone to say that it totally disrespectful. The person who wrote that is the $$$hole not God.

I think that answer clearly demonstrates the danger of religious thinking. It always amazes me how they don't seem to care how horrible or self-contradicting their thinking is, as long as it supports their a priori assumption that their beliefs are totally correct. Above all, don't question that belief!
