The air conditioning seems to work only part of the time. It comes on and goes back off again. Lately it has been off more than on. I have heard that this year of frontier, sentra and quest have been plagued with A/C problems. Has anyone experienced this problem? And, If so what did you do to get it fixed? I am afraid to take it to the dealer for fear of spending mucho $$$$$$$$

have you ck the pressure of freon? Low pressure cuz system to disengage. If you open hood and turn a/c on does clutch on compressor kick on and off? if so, that usually meant system is low which is an easy fix. you can go to local auto part store and get a recharge kit with a gauge and read instruction carefully.

things that will make the a/c compressor stop are (pressure cycling switch, that's on the big chrome tank. low charge, loose belt, and high pressure switch.
