Ok so my Husband and myself are out shopping at the commissary and the lines are like so dang long if you have more than 15 items so a shorter line came open and another military wife and myself kind of raced eachother to the line and I won,as I was about to check out she said excuse me I was already here I politely told her I dont think so,as we are checking out her husband comes to the line and shes so pissed so he tells her to breathe and this woman acts as if I did something wrong at the grocery stores I thought it was first come first serve so anyways I thought I was gonna be forced into a confrontation with this woman so I am glad her husband showed up but I still don't see where I was wrong,So was I wrong or not?

no you werent wrong...she just wasnt fast enough...so then she probably lied and said she was there first to make you feel guilty and let her go first...

i don't think you did anything wrong, first come first served. but that being said... i worked in a supermarket for about 5 years, my wife worked there for 21 years, and let me tell you, you will see the worst behavior from people in a supermarket. they don't want to be there, they don't want to spend their money on groceries, and they end up taking it out on the employees and the other customers. it's a real shame. if you see her again, i would just let her beat you to the check out.

No your not wrong at all. Whoever gets there first should be able to go ahead and check out. She was probably upset that she didn't get there first or maybe she was just having a bad day, who knows. But no, you were not wrong for being the quicker person.

You were not wrong. But you know how some people are. Some people are so low class that they do things like this. If it happens again, just be the gracious one and let the other person go first. (and don't mutter what you are thinking out loud)
