Rip Girls is a Disney channel movie. The main character has a picture of her mom and her on her laptop. (seperate pictures) She somehow copies herself on the picture with her mom so that they're standing side by side in one picture with the same background. It's not panoramic and it's not just two pictures side by side, she actually merged them together. I was wondering how to do this for a multi-media project I'm doing. HELP!

I feel a better photo edting program than paint is needed for this. PhotoShop is the industry standard and they sell a good version for everyday use called PhotoShop Elements. If you get an older version, you can find it for less than $25.00.

In Photoshop, you will probably end up using the lasso selection tool to outline one of the people or objects and then copy it to the clipboard, then open the photo you want to add that person or object to and paste them in. There is a selection tool to move the person around in the photo.

To make this look realistic, you need to have the proportions correct and similar lighting. Look to see if the shadows fall the same direction and angle. If you need to you can resize before you select and copy/paste. Elements has a good lighting adjustment facility as well.

Good Luck!

you can do it in Paint actually. Open a picture that will be the background and has one person in it and then use Word or something to get you on the Clipboard, than just Paste into the Paint and move and resize the pic around. its pretty cinchy.
