Books are OK, they are worried about liquids.

The most significant changes to the security measures include mandatory shoe screening for all travelers and the admission of up to 4 oz. of non- prescription medicine. Travelers will continue to see an increase in visibility and use of canine detection teams, and random gate inspections and bag searches will continue, the agency said. More information is available from the agency's Web site at www.tsa.gov

all liquids are banned. water, juice, toothpaste, ect. unless you have a baby you can bring on a bottle, but you must sample it in front of airline secuirity before you can bring it aboard. no electronics are allowed. and all carry-on luggage was banned in britain for 72 hours or something like that, just temporary.

Didn't hear that however, I predict that in the future, airline travel will include boarding in our birthday suits, with the airlines providing diapers and bibs so that they can place us in comas until we reach our destination.

Not true. You can definitely take books with you in your carry-on.

You CANNOT take any liquids or pastes with you, such as toothpaste, water, lipstick, etc.

Exceptions apply to medication which you have a prescription for.
