My dog tends to get diarrhea and when he does I feed him cooked ground beef mixed with white rice for a few days but should any symptom of illness last more than a few days you should take them to the vet just to be safe.

You do need to take them to the vet , especially since it has lasted more than a few days. How old is the dog? How much does it weigh? Is it able to keep water down? Have you changed it's diet recently? My dog had diarrhea for awhile as a pup she was 6 months old and she weighed 35 lbs she is a lab and she did not digest her puppy chow well, so I had to get something better, which we now give her Eukanuba food. The vet also told me to give her an Imodium AD. That stopped the runs. Good Luck.

Go to the vet. diarrhea is a symptom of an illness & colds don't cause that symptom

Colds do not cause diarrhea. Try a bland diet of rice and boiled chicken. No salt or spices. If it continues take her to the vet.

There has been a doggie virus going around. Call the vet and see what they've got to say. They may recommend chicken and rice diet or something else. But, its hard to answer your question because there is no other info about your pet (age, other ailments, activities, etc.)

There are alot of reasons animals get diarhea.
1. could be diet related. sloppy food give dogs sloppy poo
2. Intestinal Worms can give animals it to
3. Canine Parvo, Very bad and fatal if not treated early
I would serioulsy consider taking that animal to the vet asap

Definitely take her to the vet if it has been a few days. She may have another very serious ailment.
