There are some good suggestions here, weight training and increasing your natural protein intake are good ways to start.

It is possible that you may have to learn to accept your body the way that it is, especially if you are genetically inclined to be built the way you are. I know it isn't easy.

I am at the opposite end of the spectrum from you. I have German and Scandanavian blood in me and I have big thick bones, broad shoulders and broad hips. I can carry a lot of weight on my frame and the smallest I will ever be and not look anemic is about a size 12.

I am 33, so not much older than you and one thing I have had to learn is to accept myself for who I am. It's hard and has a lot to do with how you feel about yourself on the inside.

If nothing else, know that you aren't alone in how you feel and if all else fails, build yourself a Queen-sized attitude!! LOL

If you have been thin since birth. Except it. I have the same problem. I sometimes look like a marshmellow with 4 toth picks sticking out. lol. I bet you even find that your tummy is flat after you wake up from a nights sleep or a nap. Just keep in mind you are not the only one that goes threw this. I eat less fatty foods now. Just love yourself the way you are now.
Take care.

To gain weight, you need to ingest more calories than you use in a day. You sound extremely thin.

In short, you need to cut your cardio-related exercising to a minimum. Only do weight training. Also, start making it a point to eat more and eat foods that are high in calories, but good foods that contain a large amount of protein. Protein bars, peanuts, peanut butter, meats, eggs are good examples. NO candy, pizza, ice cream, chocolate, or anything sugary. Also, drink only water, skim milk or protein shakes - absolutely no sodas, or juice.

All in all, you need more calories, weight training and less exercising that gets your heart beating. Don't forget multi-vitamins either, and cut your meals into more frequent smaller ones.

Eat nuts, beans, and meat because it has protein, and protein helps you build muscle.
