The bible is a congomeration of writings by various people. It has been copied recopied, changed for political reasons, and portions deleated (Did you know that there was a gospel according to Phillip?) Most people regard the bible as a history of the jewish tribe (OT) and a chronical by many of the life of one partituclar jew, jesus. That's about it for the thinking man. Fanatics, and those fearful of living their own life and fearful of death have blown it up to mean all sorts of things. And over the last 2000 years, christianity is what it never was intended to become... a very profitable way to make money, and keep people in line by men who wish to stay in power.

Although the Bible was written by man, it does NOT mean that it is a made up story. God put the words into the minds of the people who wrote it. IT IS THE WORD OF GOD. How could man possibly read the Bible if God made it? He is too great for us to read anything he actually wrote down. It would probably be in a language no one on earth could understand. How could it be translated? You know, God DOES talk and guide those who walk by him.
For those who say that the Bible is something that is just a man made story, you should really reconsider your views of the Bible. God is nothing to play with! Fear God...who created this big earth? I know it was no monkeys and an explosion. In the end, every knee shall bow and every tounge shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!

Look around closely at your surroundings and ask yourself. could all of this complexity have happened
by accident when a ball of mud in outer space
exploded at random.
Or could it have been created by a master engineer.
Nothing in the bible suggests it was created by magic. There is about 6 billion people on the planet
at the moment and the majority of them believe in God. Are all storys a lie? Other history books
from ages ago do support the bible.

He stopped because everything he had to say was said.
Note Revelation 1:1.
These things were written for a future time period.
Similarly with Daniel 12:8,9.
The time will eventually come when he will have more written.
That's the main point of Revelation 21:12.
Is it really the word of God?
Note Isaiah 40:22 refers to the earth as being round.
Note Job 26:7 refers to the earth hanging on nothing.
How did those guys know that 1000 years B.C.?
Higher source of information?

The bible was written by man and the word by man, God did not have a hand in it and if any one tries to tell you differently then they are lying to you, there are those who will try and tell you it was by God so do not get caught up by ignorance on how the bible came to be. Man created it and man initiated what was to be said in it.

The Bible is the Word of God. Man did not create the Bible. Its not a fairy tale book. If you read it you'll notice that evrything that was prophecied in the old testament came about in the new testament. And the things that have been prophecied in Revelations are coming about today. Man may have written it but what they wrote was from God, inspired by God.

The Bible is the word of God spoken through man. But no one can add to the Bible anymore. The Bible is finished there is nothing else to write. He inspired people to write it from the beginning to end.

The Bible is really just a fake story, perhaps a bit like the Loch Ness monster tales.
When we pass on information to another (example: story, joke, description of something etc) by the time these details are passed on by word of mouth, interpreted by others, and then written down, the final details are typically quite different than the original information.
Since the Bible is just a man-made story passed down over many years in various forms, the chance of it being accurate in any shape or form is remote.
There are people who swear blind that the Loch Ness monster exists regardless of all the evidence to the contrary, but a fence post bobbing up and down in the Loch does the trick. Similarly there are people who swear blind that God exists and the Bible is fact, yet there isn’t one blind bit of evidence to support such theories.
Biblical tales are really no different than Loch Ness monster tales, just the era is different.

Well, for one, let's compare it to any other book in history. Why is it so powerful and influencial. Surely, something written by man thousands of years ago could not be applied to today's society. However, the bible can be. Why? Because it is inspired of God. It changes lives for the better.

Man wrote the bible-- Those who are followers of it learn early on that it was written by people.
People also constructed it. The Council of Trent (I do believe... It's such an important event but I always forget the name) shaped the bible. It was decided by a pagan whether Jesus would be man or god.
One example: The creation stories were created by man because the Hebrews were under rule of Babylon and they had their own creation story which included multiple dieties and jealousy-- a harsh creation.
