I have nightmares a few times a month. Its never the same nightmare, but always about the same thing. Its always about a tornado. My mom and sister are always in it. There will be other people as well, but each time, they are always in it. Most of the time, I will see the funnel form and try to get everyone in a basement. Sometimes they listen, but most of the time they just ignore me and act like its no big deal. Nobody ever gets hurt, but I don't understand why I keep having these dreams. Its been going on for about a year. Does anybody know what this means?

Sounds like you might be somewhat jealous of the relationship between your sister and your mother. The tornado signifies some difficulties you may have had and them not going into the basement signifies that you feel your mother/sister don't listen or pay attention to you.

Dreams are very complex concepts. A literal interpretation like this means that and that means that is not realistic at all. A dream interpretation should be made in the context of your family, professional and environmental life. Psychoanalysts are trained to do that. It is a pretty elaborate, long, and expensive process, though. However, the results are amazing and they are worth it most of the time

Your mom and sister have been arguing a lot right? Or it may not be them literally, but someone else in your life you feel close to. You desire peace and harmony between your family members/friends/coworkers, but you're frustrated and unable to see a way you can bring this about. Is it possible you may be overreacting to anger expressed?

Are feeling helpless in any situation in your life? I was feeling that way and had the same sort of dreams for a while too. As soon as I realized what I was feeling I stopped having the dream.

It's just a dream you may feel like no one listens to you or your worried about your family being careless and ending up in danger.

Maybe you have something going on in your life and you want someone to notice but they haven't. You keep waiting for someone (your mother and sister for ex.) to listen to you but they just keep brushing you off like your problem is no big thing and you should just get over it.

i personally believe that dreams might mean something like ,the tornado could symbolise any type of danger that is coming and you should be aware .then again some dreams symbolise fear of something new i think you should keep both eyes open in either case
