no body lost to anyone. Religion fills the need to think that you won't die---- ah, but alas, when the heart stops beating, the blood stops circulating, the cells in the brain no longer stay alive, and we begin to die. Death if final and absolute. Some religions believe there is a second life, others do not. If you were raised in the western world, you are likely christian, and some christians believe in an afterlife, ridiculous as it is. If you were raised in Asia, an afterlife is not very prominant in any of those religions. Life on earth is the reward. So, depends on what your background is....

Religion is not lost for its bad marketing. It is not a product for sale. What is important is not what the religion offers but what good has has been implanted into each soul searching mind. Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianism and other isms may someday all be forgotten as a practice of religion but the wisdom each has left will remain imprinted into the hearts of many.

Buddhism doesn't threaten you with a lake of fire or any of that nonsense -- you get to keep trying over and over until you get it right. Plus, the final reward ("the ineffable carrot" as someone much wiser than me once put it) isn't 72 virgins, or floating on a cloud strumming harps, but just a return to the nothingness from which we came....

No. Jesus Wins Because He is God.
Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life.
He was there in the Beginning, When all was created.
He is here now and Jesus will always be along with The Father and The Holy Spirit.
The message of Jesus has survived and grown in spite of bad marketing. The Truth rings clear and everyone hearing the truth is drawn to it.
God Bless You,
Smile! Jesus Loves You, ;-)

Budda lost to Jesus? I never felt there was a competition! Jesus dying for you wasn't a marketing strategy! It was a salvation strategy! Oh yeah... Maybe it's because Jesus also DIED FOR BUDDA! That might have something to do with it!

Neither lost. Buddha has a bigger following than Jesus, but that aside - they preach good morals.

Buddah dosn't require his followers to pester others untill they convert. It's a very laid back religion.

Buddha's claim to have total enlightenment seems to be refuted by the fact that he wasn't enlightened enough to see he was eating a bad fish.
