Willie ~
In my opinion Oscar will not only beat Floyd but, he'll stop him in the later rounds. Oscar is a converted southpaw, meaning that he was originally a left handed fighter thus explaining his devastating left hook and no so great right hand and Floyd's body is there all day for the left hook. Floyd tucks his head into his right shoulder and keeps the majority of his weight on his back foot to keep from getting hit with a solid head shot. Floyd fights exactly the same way as his uncle Roger did but he's much, much faster hand speed wise anyway. Roger fought against the great Julio Cesar Chavez and Chavez broke him down with a brutal body attack, I think Oscar will employ the same strategy against Floyd, trap him on the ropes and pound his right side particularly the short rib. Oscar is naturally the bigger stronger guy and Floyd is smaller, 9 times out of 10 the bigger guy wins. Floyd is younger, but not wiser, Oscar has adapted well over the past couple years changing up his style to suit his age Floyd mean while only fights one way granted it's worked wonderfully thus far but his luck will change when and if he and Oscar meet in the not so distant future.

Very interesting fight and one I'd like to see. Right now Mayweather is regarded as the best fighter pound for pound in the world by most accounts and undefeated. However, I believe that De La Hoya is stronger than Mayweather with a bigger punch. You know the old story about a good big man vs a good little man? I believe that Mayweather would outbox De La Hoya until getting caught with some devastating punches in about round 10 and the referee stops the contest.

It would be an interesting match up. De La Hoya would have a chance to win if he goes in with the mentality of turning it into a brawl and use the left hook to the body. Would Mayweather allow him to? That is the real question. It would all depend on which fighter could impose his will on the other. I would give a very slight edge to De La Hoya because of the caliber of fighters he's fought. One thing you can't take away from De La Hoya is that he has ducked no one in his career, win or lose.

Speed kills and speed is power so I'd go with Floyd Mayweather. He's also the superior boxer while De La Hoya is not the same as he used to be a few years ago.

I think this fight is all about the weight. If floyd tries to go up to get oscar at 154 no way does he win. You are all thinking floyds speed will blind DLH but floyd is not going to be as fast at 154. REMEMBER floyd was champ at 130, went up to 140, He has beat nobody, no big names or 1a fighters. (you could say some would have been if FM wouldn't kick there ***) Bottom line oscar is too good and Floyd has come up too far in weight. The golden Boy wins. They fight at 145, i like floyd.---The only reason FM wantes DLH is the 25-30 million payday. The golden Boy is the cash cow.

I'd go with Oscar, for two main reasons. One, I think Oscar is the stronger fighter and delivers more in his punch. His left hook is a killer, just ask Vargas, Mayorga and Quartey. Second, and probaby most important is experience. Oscar has fought all of the top fighters of his era, and win or lose those fights make him that much better. I like Floyd as a fighter and admire his skills, but who has he beaten? Gatti was his biggest name, and Arturo is old now and has never been in the top echelon of fighters. If this is Oscar's final fight, I expect the best performance of his career.

SORRY TO TELL YOU BUT FLOYD WOULD TOTALLY KICK HIS ***.....SPEED KILLS REMEMBER THAT, EVEN THOUGH OSCAR USE TO BE THE GOLDEN BOI. HIS DAYS ARE OVER HE BEAT MAYORGA, BUT HEY THE GUY CALLED HIM OUT AND DISGRACED HIS FAMILY. HE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A ONE DIMENSIONAL FIGHTER LIKE MAYORGA. FLOYD WOULD REALLY END HIS CARRER, HE NEEDS TO JUST STAY RETIRED UNLESS HE WANTS TO GO OUT A LOSER.
