you're right, love can not be forced, but if you like her, stay friends with her. As you get to know each other it may possibly develop into something more than friendship.

You can try to play the part of the boyfriend who loves her and see what happens. I advise everyone to do it at least once in their life because it will give you an opportunity to really learn what it's like to have someone really care about you when they aren't important to you. It usually isn't the happiest relationship, but all people who've started that way that I know have stayed friends after the breakup and there was no bad blood between them.
You may not be able to learn to love her, but you can learn to really appreciate her and genuinely miss her and want her.
And you never know, she may turn out to be the girl of you dreams.

Right. You can't force yourself to like her, but from my experience, it's a good thing to date someone you're not entirely madly in love with. I think you will find it a rewarding experience. Some of my best relationships have started out on a low key if you get what I mean. Ask her out on a casual date, and get to know her. I think over time, you might just find out that you really like her.

u cannot force some one else or urself to love some one and if u dont want to loose this girl a u better not date her because if u do and realize that u r only doing it to make her happy then u will be unhappy and maybe lose a friend. u could set her up with some one e;se she likes maybe if she likes him better then u r off the hook otherwise just tell her that u just wanna be friends with her

Things like this happen all the time.
It depends on whether you're a stand-up guy or not. You could take advantage of this girl's affection for you; use her then discard her as though she & her feelings don't matter.
Or you can leave it platonic; but you are the one that is going to have to keep those boundries.
