Do some homework and you will find that oil from Iraq is still going to the same places that it has done since before Gulf War one and its not the USA......mate!
The USA gets its oil from Canada (70%), Venezuala, Alaska and produces enough hoemgrown stuff to have a strategic reserve of around 70 years at current consumption.

well if its about oil then why are the prices still rising? Every body keeps forgetting we didn't declare war on Iraq but on Terrorism. And its amazing how people forget that alot of those Countries over there financing them. all of the Insurgents aren't even from Iraq. Just remember while we are there fighting them there not here bombing us. What would you rather have us do fight them over there or in your back yard. Ponder that

I believe that war in Iraq was a top goal of the other people surrounding Bush (Rumsfeild, Cheney, ect). I believe they heavily influenced Bush's decision to go to war. I think that once they were at war, we didn't prepare correctly for the end of the war and for post-war Iraq. I think that we've made many mistakes in the execution of the war and that we're going to be paying for they're consequences for years to come.

What war in Iraq? The United States Constitution says that congress has the responsibility to declare war. I do not believe that it can transfer this duty to the Executive branch of govt. Therefore, this is not a war! Does this mean our troops can come home now?!

I think oil is part of it but I also know that Saddam ignored the U.N. resolutions for 12 years. Oh BTW the reason force wasn't ratified by the U.N. to remove Saddam, it was veto'd by 3 permanent members, was because of oil. Germany, Russia and China veto'd removing Saddam only because they had oil contracts with Saddam for after the termination of the sanctions.
