I think I may have this to a certain extent. I am able to predict minor future events accurately. It is almost like I can foresee them in a sense. This may be a weak example but take yesterday for an example. I woke up in the morning, and I had the feeling that I would be asked to help with collecting the offering during the service. When I got there, I was asked to do so. (Of course, I did it too.)
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a similar occurance. Maybe foresight isn't the proper word for this?

hi,hope your day is going good,and to answer your ?.i know god uses people, there are different fruits of the spirit,and yes i believe that sometimes we can since that god will use us somewhere throughout the day if we let him.i really believe he we use us everyday if you we pray and seek him and his will.god is so wonderful.we need more Christians today to stand up and be bold.and not worry what people would say about us,i just want my lord to be pleased with me,so i try each day to do his will.he's my rock,and my everything may my god bless you as hes blessed me .

I'm going out on a limb and guessing that you're a christian who believes that god had a hand in creating him. Right?
If so, everything that you are came from god. So the answer (for you) is yes, god can give you this gift.
If you're really asking whether or not this gift should be considered evil or bad, that I can't tell you. I believe there's stuff in the bible about this, but don't ask me where.
I doubt if most religions even have a "policy" on psychic ability.
One thing is for sure, how you might use this talent does matter.

God has the ability and the means to do anything. Please don't underestimate or limit him by what people think he's not able to do. Pray about it hard, and step out in faith. As a man of God, allow him to use you and keep your heart and mind open and positive so that he can guide you in his will. Make sure to stay humble in having your gift. Some people start out doing something for the Lord, then get a little too big for their breeches cause they forgot that it is through Christ that they do such things.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this, maybe this is something you do occasionally for your church and that is what made you think of it. I do believe there is still a gift of prophesy, this is similar to what you are asking. The bible states that in the end times our sons and daughters will prophesy (foretell future events). This tells me that prophesy has not ceased as some would have you believe. God Bless You.

Often the Holy Spirit will talk to us about "things to come". Usually it is so that we can be in prayer about those things. Like, the offering. Perhaps you needed to be in prayer for the offering, that everyone would give what they need to so they would in line for God's blessings that week, and the needs of the minsitry would be meet. Whenever I have a "foresight" like that, I always stop and say "How should I be praying about this"...

The NT tells us in various places that some folks have the gift of prophecy; read 1 Cor. 12 and 14, for example. Also, read the account of Aggabus in Acts 11. (I have the gift of prophecy myself, but in a way that differs from yours.) Spiritual gifts are one of several ways the Church is strengthened. Don't let anyone tell you spiritual gifts ended with the NT Church, as some believe; there is not one line in the Bible that supports this position.
Just understand this: those of us with this gift has a heavy responsibility to use it faithfully.

Yes most certainly.
GOD give's Human Being's Gift's befor HE send's them down to the EARTH to be Born.
Some get SAVED and use those Gift's for GOD.
Some get Decieved and use those Gift's with-out GOD's Help.
Example:
GOD give's the Gift of Prophecy to a Human Being, that Human Being get's Born on the EARTH then get's Born-Again, then Answer's GOD's Calling on his,her Life and become's a Prophet or Prophetess. Help's People in a GODly Way.
That same Person get's Born on the EARTH, get's Decieved, does not get Born-Again and use's that Gift to become a Psyhic.
Try's to Help People.

I know he gives certain people the gift of foresight in different ways. For some its just a matter of thought, for others they dream about it and it happens after a few months, and so on. I can see future events in my sleep and they usually happen after a few weeks.

yes, i am a christian and do the same thing, i also dream of people that i haven't seen in a really long time then run into them the next day or two, this has been happening for over 10 years, i can also "sense" when there is a cop or speed trap in the area... i am an adult

God can do anything. This includes what you have experienced.
It isn't necessary to tell everyone though. The important thing is that your relationship with God continues in that direction, in that you trust Him more than you did yesterday, and even more tomorrow. He brings all those other things. I know that it can be exciting, but if you want to open yourself to attacks from the enemy, just keep telling everyone about it.
