The bible has tons of scriptures that disprove the trinity doctrine. One of the reasons that it still exists is because it was imbedded in early Christianity. After the apostles died, thats when people began to develop their own philosophies, and others followed. Trinity god's were worshiped before Christianity, and it just weaved it's way into it. Jesus and the apostle Paul foretold that these things would occur, so it should be no suprise. People only refuse to believe it because either they've invested so much of their lives into their beliefs, or they simply feel as though they want to join a religion that conforms to their lifestyle rather than seeking truth. God never will allow his loyal, righteous servants to be confused about who he is. If that was the case, we would never be able to draw close to him.

First of all, it is not necessary to your salvation to understand the Trinity--nobody really understands it. But in general, most Christians (not Unitarians or others with similar beliefs) hold the following to be true:
There is only one God, and the following equalities exist...
The Father = God
The Son = God
The Holy Spirit = God
...HOWEVER...
The Father â The Son
The Son â The Holy Spirit
The Father â The Holy Spirit
Difficult part to understand is the seemingly multi-dimensional personality of God. We cannot understand because we are not multi-dimensional personalities (or some might say "superpersonalities").

Jesus said:
Joh 8:23 He said to them, "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.
Joh 8:24 I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins."
The answer is yes.
He also said:
Mat 11:27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
You know who the Father is through the Son, not the other way around.

If you believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was God manifested in the flesh and He had to become a man so He could die for your sins then you should not have any problem believing that Jesus and the Father are one. John 10: 30 I and my Father are one. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

If you want to go by a quote:
27"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

The Son is the way to the Father.
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit is one God like the soul, the body and the works are in one single person.

No, they are not the same. God sent His messengers at different times. Jesus is one of them. The messengers of God are like perfect mirrors reflecting God. If you look at the mirror you can say there is God right there (because you really see His reflection), but you can also say that's a mirror. Another analogy could be with a school in which God is the principal and His messengers are the teachers. They are all trained at the same college, they have the same knowledge, but God sends them to different grades. So they teach those children in accordance with the children's level of understanding, not with the level of teacher's knowledge

He is of the same nature as the Father, but He is not identical with the Father (Luke 22:42).

I don't understand the question. Are you asking if Jesus and the Father are the same being or are you asking if they are "one" as it is referred to in the scriptures? (John 17:11,21-23 for example)
