Does anyone know what kind of prayer it is when you pray for something for a certain times your wish will definitely be granted?

I'm pretty sure it's not novena cause here, you're supposed to pray to Jesus. And who the hell cares if it's not in the Bible--just give me the damn answer and shut up if you don't know.

God says "ask and you shall receive" but he never said "you shall receive what you want". God knows what we need and praying the novena is a special form of prayer.

Yes, it is for 9 days and that is because the apostles prayed for 9 days after Jesus ascended to heaven but before he sent the Holy Spirit.

Anyway, the novena also calls for a sacrifice of some sort. I'm not talking about sacrifice like killing a cow and offering it up to God. I mean like a personal sacrifice. If you are usually doing "x" and you enjoy "x", then consider giving that up for the 9 days you are doing the novena.

If after the novena, you don't get what you want, it's not what you needed anyway.

That type of prayer is called a novena. There are many types, but I believe most are prayed for nine days. I saw one once that made you pray it once every hour for nine hours.

A novena has no Biblical background, so I don't believe in it. Remember, God is not a genie! He doesn't grant out wishes if it is not part of his eternal plan!

God bless!

I think you are referring to a novena, which is repeated for nine days. It's not found in the Bible.

A man went to confess to a priest, and said that he had been stealing lumber from his worksite. The priest asked him if he had ever made a novena. The man scratched his head, and said, "No, but if you've got the plans, I can get you the lumber!" :)

God is back ordered son, I have said prayers for a grandfather,(died anyway,) a 3 story Victorian dollhouse with 157 pieces of hand made furniture (got a new winter coat and a sled instead) and world peace (no luck at all).
Good luck.

Sorry, you never have "wishes definetely granted."

I you're thinking about the rosary, its more about meditating on the mysteries.

I repeat, you are mistaken.
