I love dogs. They're special in so many ways. I love the fact they they don't hold grudges like people do. You can scold them one minute for messing in the rubbish bin, and 2 seconds later they're licking your face and sitting on your lap as if nothing happened.
They're special gifts

I love dogs. I have always had dogs growing up and now have 2 pugs. They are the best companions and can always cheer me up.

big dogs? yes: they generally have good temperament and behave well
small dogs remind me too much of cats: high-maintenance, high-strung, and fickle
Of course, if you could come up with a big dog that purred -- :)
