Hmm.. I'm in the same situation as you, my dear. It seems to be that way with most people.. those with straight hair want curls, and those with curls want straight. What I would suggest doing is getting a diffuser, and then try it on your hair. In case you don't know what that is, it's an attachment you put onto your hairblower that can help give you curls. You do need a specific styling product to help you achieve the curls. If you're still not sure, go to your local salon and ask them to style your hair with curls with the diffuser, and they can show you what it is and recommend the right styling products. I personally think curls are coming back. Stick, straight hair was for the 90's. It's now all about personal style, whether your hair be short and funky, or long and straight. But check it out first. You might just like the diffuser. That way, one day your hair can be curly, the next straight. You can change your look everyday!

you can get a digital perm. i've had stick straight hair all my life, and just got my 2nd digital perm this past may. It will damage your hair, but just like regular wear and tear damage. my hair is still healthy, and i deep condition every 2 weeks. the perm doesn't last forever, meaning the curls will definitely flatten out after 6-8 months. digital perms don't use as much chemicals, and usually takes less time in the salon. you can catch the digital perms within the asian salons. i highly recommend it, as my hair has so much more volume and life. my hair is down to my bra-line. with long hair, expect to stpend close to $200 or more.

it depends. If you have thick hair like me don't because the perm will just fall out. If you have frizzy/poofy hair don't because then it'll really look frizzy. Other than I think a perm is fine because they are coming back and even if they go back out your straightener will still be there

NO!!! Perms have bad chemicals which causes your hair to fall out! I may look nice for a second, but then it will start to fall out. I never gotten a perm before, (that's why my hair is long) but I seen people with it, and they look almost bald. Just get your hair prest.

I would say not! If your hair is really flat it will reck your hair! Also, it will flatten out really fast! Just use volumizing shampoo and curl it under with a round brush or something! Plus, a hair cut will change your look especially if you find the perfect one for you!

it depends on wat perm ur talking about, most perms make peoples hair straight, then theres the curly perm. if ur 13, u should use a kitty perm, its one called "just for me" but i dont know if it'll work for ur hair...considering ur probably white, no offense. just letting u know...peace
