What is saved (if anything) to a HDD during a partial download?

Well, how do I find any "saved" temp data on my HDD?

Initially, I believe, everything is saved to a TEMP directory. If a download is cancelled, the files are deleted.

Now, that being said, if you really want to find those files on a hard drive, you can if you know how to look..

If you talked about internet downloads, it should be saved under temporary internet folder or temp folder under the "Documents and Settings\"
