Yes. Even though you are only getting a soda, you are sitting in a booth which will need to bused and cleaned when you leave.

The waitress also has to get the soda and bring it to you. I know that isn't much, but she could be serving other people who are getting larger orders.

Depending on how much the soda costs, I would leave a dollar for her. She's on her feet all day and she has to wait on all kinds of people. Leaving a small tip is not big deal and would be extremely kind and courteous.

I always try to tip the waitress if you are sitting down and taking up a table. Even if you are only ordering a soda. Since she is only making $2.63/hr she relies on tips to survive. Plus it will make you feel better afterward. Its customary to tip between 18-20%.

Servers are also supposed to come and make sure everything is okay with your food. If your server doesn't do that, or isn't friendly when they do ask, I wouldn't leave a freakin tip. Be nice to me. You're paid to be nice. If you're in a bad mood, you're not getting a tip, I don't care if you brought my pizza or my soda.

Yes. It wouldn't hurt to leave her a dollar; if a bartender pours a drink, they get tipped.

Servers work for tips. They only make $2.15 an hour, so your dollar is helpful (imagine 50 lunch guests at $1 each-they might make a decent income that day).

You're not obligated to tip in a buffet, but you can leave a bcuk if it makes you feel better.

Just leave a few dollars on the table after paying the bill and before leaving.

Is the server bringing you something?

Did he/she check on you to make sure you didn't need a refill or anything else?

Then yes, you tip.

Most servers make about $2 something per hour. They depend on tips.

Yes but not 15%. I think a dollar is sufficient.

Doesn't matter what you order... off the menu or the buffett... the servers are STILL only making 2 or 3 bucks an hour. PLEASE tip the server
