I have before. It's not really a bad thing, but it can end up ugly if you veer off from the subject. I've only done that with a couple people I trust. And both were pro-illegals...

It's fine to associate with people of different views. Actually, I think that's healthy. So, as to keep a buncha knowledge from all sides, instead of one.

As long as it doesn't get crazy.. Once name calling comes in, it's time to change the subject. But I haven't had that happen-- except he called me stupid... which was in a joking manner. But, still, to keep it safe, and to protect our friendship, we changed the subject.

I make a living of my views by supporting them in my work not only on the immigrant situation though. Residents rights in facilities such as nursing homes, holding facilities etc. yahoo is a nice playful distraction from what I do. So I like to play on Yahoo and act on my passions in real life.

Yes, I am on C-span Washington Journal every month (phone), I have written my congressmen, radio stations, tv stations, my Senators.

I emailed the white house once about 3 yaers ago and the following day I started getting about 300 spams a day. That is when I realized we have a real looser in the white house.

Yes in both places. I'm still in school, so thankfully expressing my opinions is considered healthy and a good thing and I dont get attacked by crazy people like I do online.

Oh definitely, I write letters to my congressmen weekly. However, I've been a lot more active getting our state initiative passed for Father's Rights. It's something that I'm very passionate about and takes up a lot of my free time.

Absolutely! I am firm in what I believe and have no problem supporting my point of view no matter who you are. I've debated relatives, customers, co-workers and managers. I admit I use more tact in the 'real world' than here simply because ranting here won't get me fired! :)
