hey guys!i'm doing a project, investigating the chemistry behind natural products...you know we all hear the extreme claims made by companies about their products, and most of us do not try the natural products because we probably don't believe the claims! and it is my personal belief that many such companies take us for a ride. If you know of any such company or individual deceiving people, please let me know the name of the comapny and product, and i will complete my research. I'm just having a really tough time finding a product.Thank u!

The answers so far have nailed it, read the link from Opus, Penta water is hilarious. Once in a while the FTC will crack down on these guys when they make a claim that their supplement cures something. The FTC will claim it is no longer a supplement and is now a drug. The problem is the company gets slapped with a fine that is usually no where near the monies they have scammed the public for. Glucosamine is a classic example, hyaline cartilage does not repair itself period, so it will not have the effect of reversing cartilage damage to anyone. But the general public does not know this so they buy the stuff thinking that their arthritic knee will be fixed. Take everything with a grain no a shaker of salt.

There well maybe some that work, however I have tried Glucosamine Condoitrin for arthritis for more that a Year. and then had an X-ray to see if there was any improvement in my hip joint. They claim it will regrow lost cartlige, and take the pain away. For me personally it did not do any of the things they claimed. There are many people with arthritis that you wouild be helping, and just look at the over the counter shelves and see all the Companies that are making it. Good Luck on your reaserch

You had better to ask someone who is educated in School medicine who could help you.
Don't you know any MD - Doctor in Medicine? There is a risk that you will just have rubbish answers here. Most of the Natural Health products do not work at all and it is normally just in use by believers or people who thinks that they are more ill than the normal person. I would like to help you, but I haven't time for that right now. I am sorry.

ANY "natural products" that advertises using "testemonials" rather than a real study is clearly taking people for a ride.

Here is a good example. These folks claim to cure cancer through diet, and really deserve to get sick themselves IMHO
