Its not the level of education, but probably a difference in IQ.

I didn't realise until quite late in life why I had been having problems with some people who just appeared to be thick. Eventually, I took an IQ test and found that my IQ was way above average, and I suddenly realised why I had been able to understand many situations when other people coudn't.

A high IQ is not a measure of how good a person you are, but it does mean that you are able to think faster and understand more than those with a low IQ. This is quite likely the case with your boyfriend. You have to learn to be patient, and to take your time when explaining things. Sometimes it feels like you are treating others as a child, but it is necessary if it is important that they truly understand something

I think the level of education is EXTREMELY important. I would rather date a guy who has a doctorate rather than someone who has only a high school education. Perhaps I am being biased but I am thinking of the intelligent conversations that we will have.

obviously it won't work....i'm glad you've come to recognize that...education matters!! i keep telling people - you guys don't have the same level of intelligence and that's obviously why he doesn't get it.....look, no matter how cute a guy can be, if they're not educated it's very difficult for the relationship to work...'hope you understand.

its sounds like more of a personality problem and if you are already having doubts and not seeing a future with him then i think its time to move on. its not the education its the communication and sounds like you too just don't connect

Education should not be an issue unless you or he make it one. He just doesn't seem to be mature and understand that adults have to work and earn a living.

he's a creep!!! get the hell away from him.. yes, education matters.. you can do so much better...

if he's like this now, just imagine your future.. he'll probably own a little cab company... doing nothing except fattenin himself with junk food.. ordering the cabbies about... and calling you to see whether you're breathing/eating/sleeping thinking about him!!

come on.. get outta this.. he's not worth you and will never understand you

Yes, it is the level of education. He is a bit of a slacker, and you obviously are not. Don't settle. Move on and find someone of your own level.

If you don't picture self marrying this guy then why waste your time and his. I think he is just very focused on you and oversees what needs to be going on, sounds like he really likes you but I would break it off as soon as possible.
