We have a 2 1/2 years old, free-spirited, outdoor, city-cat. He brings bugs, mice and small birds in the house on a daily bases. He lost his right eye in a territorial dispute when he was only one year old. We've tried to convert him to an indoor type and it's not going to happen anytime soon. He turns into the Tasmanian Devil. His name is "Ike" AKA: "The Ikernator". The little guy has developed what looks like a swollen gland in the left side of the neck area under his chin. We have antibiotics called that was left over from his eye surgery and wonder if we should start him on them. Help will be very much appreciated.

Take him to the doc.
You shouldn't really have left over medicine of any kind, even for an animal.
It could be a cyst, it could be a tumor, it could be an infection. The left over antibiotics will not be enough to kill an infection, & may not be viable at all anymore depending on age.
Take him to the doctor as soon as you can.

Um well any vet will say to let them check him out first. but I would say just to start him on the antibiotics again.
Why didnt you let him finish the antibiotics before? You are supposed to finish all the antibiotics for it to actually work and heal completelly. But yah just give him antibiotics I guess. Maybe he got a scratch or bite and it bruised under the skin and made a little knot. My dog recently got in a fight with my aunts cat and my dog had a knot on her leg and she was limping for afew days but shes better now.
See if your cat will let you touch it or if he growls and hisses when you touch it.

not all antibiotics work for the same problem, some are for sicknesses, some are for infections/bacteria while others may be for a parasite. Take him in for a quick check up and some cheap meds...its better then wasting time with older meds and it get worse

The antibiotics probably aren't even viable any more. Toss them and ask the vet to take a look at your cat.

Good luck!
