You can search for one at your local/regional animal shelter/pound and/or animal rescue league (or anything the equivalent of it).

Hello. May I ask, why, specifically do you want a pug dog? Right now they are a very "trendy" and popular breed.
Sadly, there are people that get these wonderful little fellows, with-out knowing anything about the breed, and then give the dogs up, because for example, the owners didn't know that pug dogs snore. LOUDLY. (Due to the breeding trait of their "pushed-in" nose.)
Listed below are a few links about pug dogs. They are very loyal and sweet, with happy personalities. However, they do have some health problems, that can be costly.
I think the best place to start would be the pug rescue society. They have done some wonderful work in saving "discarded" animals, and are a good source of information about pug dogs. Their link is below. There are some very heart breaking stories, as well as some happy endings.
I hope this is helpful. Keep me posted. Best wishes. :-)

You can buy from a pet store if you are ready to pay the extra money. I recommend buying from a respected breeder. It is usually better for the buyer and the puppy as well. I am a pug breeder. I raise a few litters a year and my prices range from $300-$400. If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!

You sure as hell don't want to buy from a pet store -- you're asking for a dog with a hell of a lot of health problems.
Stay the hell away from puppyfind.com, too -- the people advertising on this site are nothing more than high volume puppy mills and ignorant backyard breeders.
Not in the UK, so I can't give you a hell of a lot of information. This link might help:

I would look on the Internet and find a good breeder in your area. Make sure the breeder guarantees the puppies as far as health is concerned. Any decent breeder will do that. I've seen pugs range in price anywhere from $400-700...females tend to cost more since you can breed them. NEVER purchase a dog from a pet store. They get their puppies from puppy mills and these are not good quality puppies. Good luck!!

NOT the pet store, shame on those who suggested that! Worst place to get a dog - they overcharge you, the dogs are horrible quality, medical issues, etc.
Try going to www.ukc.org and they should have a page that lists recognized pug breeders.

Check out petfinder.com. They have dog listings from pounds. These animals need to find a home and can be great pets.
