Difficult "what if" question to answer because you do not know whether another religion would have stepped in just like Christianity did. The original religions would certainly have stayed a bit longer but who knows for how long. You would see higher numbers of people practicing various forms of paganism such as Druidry, in the Americas you would see the original shamanistic religions. Also, America as we know it today would not exist - the Pilgrims were Christian. Who knows what the butterfly effect would cause it there were no such thing as Christianity but it would definitely be rather intense.

Maby the religion of the Native americans.they would not have been killed for"christian" reasons.THe religion of the natives was one of Harmony with nature, a Great spirit( like god)and all the powers of creation, like the eagle, the wolf.THey believed every creation had a spirit. But it was not etched in stone where they went after death.Sound familiar?Perhaps that would have spread to Europe.Or the Europeans would have practised some sort of religion of many gods. But I have a feeling that they would have made their gods bear children, for their new ideals and things that were important to them.
Very interesting question, by the way.

Before Europeans were Christians they worshiped a number of deities which were oriented on the natural world. There were also the Roman and Greek pantheon of Gods that were worshiped as well.

By the time Europeans came to America they practiced many forms of Christianity. Native Americans' worship practices centered around nature, and natural phenomenon, until they were forced to convert to Christianity (Catholicism) by the the European conquerors.

That would mean that Jesus wouldn't have come 2000+ years ago so we would still be waiting for the messiah, even though all of us gentiles wouldn't even know about it or about the need of a savior, and I believe also that Jesus came died and rose again and because of this the Holy Spirit was given acces to the earth by Him indwelling the body of Christ, the believers, and that's the only reason the earth is not totally destroyed by now, when Jesus comes back for His church the Holy Spirit will be out of here too, you'll see what happens then. If you think there will be peace and less evil you're totally wrong, the devil will have more power to do what he knows best, kill steal and destroy and this through humans, but thanks be to God it will only last a few years, then Jesus will come kick the devil out of here and stablish His kingdom of peace and righteosness upon the earth

I am assuming somewhere on the lines of an Islamic religion or Judaism. Or, maybe people would have started religious teachings similar to what is now Christianity.

Christianity is said to be the next step that Judaism didn't take and Judaism, like most religions, claim it started in Eden. Not all think that way though, it's only some of them.

Idle speculation, but fun. If European tribes had remained pagan, when they conquered and consolidated others, they could have developed relatively tolerant eastern type religions similar to Hinduism and Buddhism.
