Our swim club has a brochure that is made up in Adobe format. Is there any way to edit this file, or better yet, convert it to Publisher format? Thanks!

If it's an image, you'll need to "save as" to a .tif format and open it using Microsoft Office Document Imaging. Select OCR (optical character recognition) and convert to text. Then highlight the text and right click and select "send to word document". After that, you can edit the .doc file with publisher.

If you are talking about an Adobe PDF file, you would need to purchase a copy of the Adobe Acrobat program. It is what allows (limited) editing of PDF Files. The Free Adobe Reader does not.

But...most PDF files are not actually created in Acrobat. They are created in a word processor like Word or a layout program like Publisher, and then transfered to PDF to make them available to people who do not have Word or Puclished. And to prevent people from editing the files.

Someone had to have created the original brochure. You need to track them down and see if you can get the original file(s) from them. You can not convert a PDF to a Publisher file.

Yes Adobe can be edited. The easiest thing to do is to click on the Text tool, and copy the contents into another product.

There are products for edit of Adobe pdf. See the list of web sites below, some expensive, some free.

you can edit the file if you have the full version of adobe acrobat or even better adobe page maker, but I'm not aware of any way to convert from a .pdf file to a publisher file.... the adobe programs are superior to microsoft programs in many ways, but the programs are a little pricey.
