what are other ways then the patch and medicnes to stop smoking any ideas

Just stop.
It's not like it's as hard as people make out. The patch, gum etc just prolong your craving, your subconscious will convince you that you may as well have a cig.
I quit 2 months ago because I managed to convince myself that in giving up smoking, I was giving myself the gift of a longer, healthier life. Look at the people you care about, carry a photo of them with you at all times, when you want to smoke, look at them and imagine their faces if you were telling them you were going to die...
It works,
but only if you REALLY want it to.

There are so many ways to help you quit smoking. Why don't head on down to see the nurse at your doctors surgery,he/she will give you all the information you need to decide which method will work best for you.

me and my hubby quit together, find u someone who is willing to quit with you. Pick a day stick to it, throw all lighters, ashtrays away. It is hard for the first couple of weeks but find you something else to occupy u when u have the urge. I drink a big glass of water. I have been smoke free since Jan of last year and have lost weight!!!!!
