I asked if somebody knows books which is written earlier than the great soul Jesus and the Prophet Mohammed about their coming to earth. If you don't know just don't answer; don't think there are no books or holy books other than what you read. There are lot of books which is written before the great Jesus and Prophet Mohammed or the bible or Hadis which mentioned the world, countries, war with satallite, continents and islands and many more things. We are human beings; if I born in a Muslim home I would called a muslim and If born in Christian home I would be called a Christian. Why don't we think beyond the religions and learn about other's culture, religion and customs?

i completely agree with you!. Especially our society today people are so closed minded. They believe just what they know or what they have been brought up with, and they are too stubborn to open their mind to other cultures. You cant learn anything in life unless you are open minded and you can be open to ideas.

I am not sure I understand your question. I will try to answer it though. I am not annoyed by your questions. The only ones that do annoy me are the ones that get asked daily and usually several times a day. I don't know of any books that were written back that far but I do know that the Egyptians wrote many things but I don't think they were books. As far as learning about other cultures, religions and customs, I am trying to do that. I was born a Catholic but I am Kemetic Orthodoxy now. I am also looking into other religions that I have not experienced yet and culture and customs. One of the reasons I come on here is to learn from others about their ways and religions. I hope that helps at least a little.

Yes, according to the Vedic wisdom the duration of the existence of the whole universe is more then 311 trillion years. This period is divided into many 4.3 billion year time periods. In the beginning and at the and of this 4.3 billion period there is creation and annihilation of the whole universe. Thus, there are many creations and annihilations. Further this 4.3 billion time period is divided into 1000 and you get 4.300.000 time period which is further divided into golden, silver, bronze and iron ages. Only in the iron age is necessary to have books and written documents because, as the Vedic wisdom describes, in the iron age there is degradation of memory. Now, you can try to calculate how many iron ages are there in the more then 311 trillion year long lifespan of the universe. Many, many. There were many cultures and many scriptures and books and in the future too there will be many scriptures, books and cultures. History is repeating itself. We are not the only civilization that now exists, there were many and there will be many.

Because many religions, especially Christianity, is about faith and not questioning their religion. But doesn't that seem suspicious to you? To never question god or a religion? Well, if a religion was 100% correct, why would it hurt to question?

ALWAYS question (and I applaud you for doing so). To not question is to be ignorant.

Religions older than Christianity include: Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism and Jainism.

There are earlier pagan religions too, much of what modern wicca is based on. Additionally, Christianity borrowed a LOT from these pagan religions.

Don't worry about the negative responses. They're scared and aren't allowed to question. That's just wrong, in my eyes.

i know this one....when i was raised in a christian home, i was taught that we were the only ones with the truth. WE worship the one true god. others were faulse prophets. IT"S WRONG!!! AND CAUSES SO MANY WARS!!!

I agree with you! We SHOULD respect all worshipers for trying to live a rightous life, free of hatred and anger, and egos!!! The biggest problem is power. It is all about winning one over on the other. I have come to the conclusion because of that very reason you have mentioned, that religion will have no power over my life. I was nieve to it for far to long. I will not be apart of it's hatefulness anymore.

People get annoyed when they hear something they cannot accept or do not want to accept.

When galileo asked the catholic priests to view the montains on moon through his telescope they said what cannot be seen through the naked eye and needs an instrument must be the manipulation of the instrument.

They are annoyed coz their minds are shut. their horizon of knowldge and accept new things is closed and is not recoverable. You will always meet or encounter ppl like that. Thank god some ppl do not pay attention to ppl like these and those are the ones that result in advancement of scientific and social reforms.

Exactly.Put a christian in a muslim country and you have a muslim. We need to expand our shrere of knowledge through reading various philosophies to make informed decisions.

More Americans use religion as a security blanket that in any other country in the West. It's time to expand our horizions, and that is not meant to insult anyone.

You are talking of the most controversial thing on this earth, religion, and people don't want to face the fact that people existed before the Bible and or Koran was written. You are infringing on religion and that is why!

Well JITLEO......look at the 1st question you ever asked.......'Why should I answer peoples questions?' ....or something like that. It wasn't a very friendly start was it? Everybody's questions and answers can now be looked up and read by everybody, you know? I would recommend you stop preaching....probably to the converted anyway. Most of us on here are reasonable and friendly. There are a few we could live without, but hopefully we can freeze them out by ignoring them. Don't get yourself included!
