Quran Ch6
[25] And of them there are some who listen to you; but We have set veils on their hearts, so they understand it not, and deafness in their ears; and even if they see every one of the Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) they will not believe therein; to the point that when they come to you to argue with you, the disbelievers say: "These are nothing but tales of the men of old."

Quran ch8
[31] And when Our Verses (of the Qur'ân) are recited to them, they say: "We have heard this (the Qur'ân); if we wish we can say the like of this. This is nothing but the tales of the ancients."

Self-fulfilling prophesies mean nothing. The bible has them, too. If I were to write a false, completely ridiculous book of myths, I would "prophesize" that intelligent, non-gullible people will not believe it, too.

So, since back then when superstition were more common some people noticed it was all fairy tales? It's pretty clear the tale has never been that plausible.

So called "holy books" are a mix of fairy tales and historical events.

If I were to create a new religion, I'd add a section where I'd warm believers about those who deny the religion. Would that be original? It's been done several times, even before the qur'an, get over it.

Very good question, let them write such fairy tales if they can but none was able to even after more than 1400 years. The holy Quran was send to smart people who care about evidence and logical based faith but most people prefer a blind faith and have religious illusions based on nothing.

There still are no proofs. Read this here now, 8/14/2006. In 1400 years religion will be the downfall of mankind.

Fighting non -belief with a holy book? Not very convincing! No, I am not in any way aware that any great being created me, besides my parents. And to think they thought people wouldn't believe them. Huh.
