I didn't feel anything until about 22 weeks - and even then it was only a slight movement every couple of days. It wasn't until about 29 weeks that I could feel proper kicks every single day. I think my partner could feel them at about 25weeks - which he loved.

Bump was finally born weighing in at 9lbs2ozs - apparently he spent most of the preganancy the wrong way round to feel much.

I think they say as a rough guide - from 29vweeks you should feel the baby move 10 times over a 2 hour period - any movement or flutter counts - although be careful, I became obsessed with counting kicks - convinced something was wrong throughout the last 10weeks of pregnancy - it wasn't - v. healthy little boy - so relax and enjoy the special time with your bump - because they'll arrive before you know it.

I was told by everyone that when my baby kicked it would feel like butterflies in my stomach. When months went by and people would ask if she kicked, I'd tell them no. I never felt butterflies. I thought something was wrong.

Then one day, on my back in bed, I awoke to the weirdest feeling. It wasn't butterflies, but more like a tiny bubble popping. Since I had plenty of gas, I'd always assumed that's what it was. It wasn't until I was further along that I felt her kick harder. It was all in the way she had turned. I awoke my husband to feel it and we both cried. I think I was about the end of my 5th month, or beginning of the 6th.

Later, I was put on bedrest in the hospital and visitors would ask to feel it. It got stronger as she grew. When they put the monitors on my to check her, she'd kick so hard, they'd fall off.

When you are closer to the due date, the doctor will ask you to count the kicks per day. If you don't feel so many in so many hours, you have to call in to make sure your baby's ok. I freaked on this one. She only kicked 7 instead of 8, or 20 kicks in a row in the morning and nothing all day. But all was good.
