i had been in a relationship for two yrs...have broken up now for a month now. im still a bit crushed and am not really thinking im ready to date yet. i dont think i could give a lady what she would need at this point. but... i am a man still. i have desires of course. im not interested in one night stands at all! im trying hard to be a good man. the question is...should i look into a "friend"..or should i just wait till im ready to date? any help would be appreciated. just seeing what the women think i should do

You already answered your own question. You said your not ready. I understand a man has needs but you need time alone. If you start dating too soon you will end up with another bad relationship. Give it some time. When the right person comes along at the right time you will know it. Be patient and don't think too much about it.

if its not a one night stand the lady in question may just think it is the start of something,,,as you have said you dont feel ready to date again so this puts a real strain on finding someone,,the best thing may just be to pleasure yourself,i mean if you can get it anywhere out of a steady relationship you may be completely put of starting any relationship,,it doesnt mean you are a bad man for wanting relations but you dont seem the type of guy who will just go out to find someone for the night and most women wont be up for a one nighter anyway,,a friend may be willing but do make sure both of you know exactly where you stand,,some people cannot just be friends with benefits,,

Well their are many thing that you ca do but if your not ready to date then don't. Get a porn and help your self that way. You don't want to start a new relationship all hot and horny then you will rush into things that your not ready for and end up in a bad relationship aging. Booty calls or freinds with benefits are never a good thing for either person. Someone will eventually get thier feelings hurt no matter how up front you are about what you want at the beginning of the "relationship" (loosely meant) You should wait until you find that someone you want to spend time with where it doesn't matter if you have sex or not. Then it will mean even that much more when you do.....

I've recently gone through the same thing. I decided to try to date very casually and see what would happen.
You really don't want to rebound or use some woman, and that's great, usually the 'friend' thing doesnt work out too well. Maybe you can find a nice girl who will casually date you until you are ready to move into a serious relationship again.

If sex is all u want u need a trusted sex buddy. This is tricky because u dont want feelings involved, and feelings do get involved in this situation. find someone in the same boat as u. Or tell a woman straight up u arent looking for a relationship right now, most women will respect ur honesty verse u trying to play them. Get ur groove on!!

I would say wait until you are ready to date. Use this time to find yourself and find out who YOU really are and what YOU really want in life. You must take time for urself. When you meet a woman who might be the "one" youll know. You will know when the time is right. I would say wait, why have meaningless sex or relationships? I mean they do satisfy your urges for a short time but not your intilectual or emotional needs. You will find a woman that is right for you but do not look for her, she will come to you.
