how do i use a expresso machine, to make coffee?

i have a sallen expresso machine, given to me by a friend, no manual, someone please tell me how to use it, in detail

Are you sure you spelled Sallen correctly? I can't even find that that manufacturer exists, let alone directions on how to use their appliances.

Fill the water tank with water.
Turn the machine on, but ensure that the switch isn't set to pour the drinks.
Once the water is ready, a light will either come on or go off
Put your coffee (espresso ground only) in the metal scoop - level it off and pat it down
Place the scoop into the unit with the handle facing out at about 45degs - then twist hard until the handle is facing out and the scoop is locked in place.
Place a cup under the outlet - Press the button which pours drinks (you may have a twin cup outlet, so make sure that single cup is selected)

How it works is putting espresso coffee in the coffee holder (It is stronger and bolder), maybe 2 rounded tablespoons per cup (you see what strength you like). Water goes in the water container. Fresh water makes a difference and for some it has to be spring water. The taste of the water can make a difference for many people. Then turn it on with your container below to catch the coffee coming out. There is another spigot for steaming the milk. Mine had to be done while the coffee was brewing because that is when it created the steam. You have the amount of milk you want to steam. Put the spigot into the milk and turn it on (mine had something that you turned on the spigot, look at what yours has - a switch?) You are holding the cup of milk to allow the spigot to be in the milk, steaming and frothing it. When it is done, you pour the milk into the espresso. Add sugar, etc. as desired.
