God loved everyone enough to send his son to die on the cross for their sins. It is the choice of each person to accept the gift of salvation. What is the purpose of having the acceptance of Christians or any person or group of people? The acceptance we should be concerned about is from God and self.

Sorry for being harsh here, but trotting out the "God is love" speech to try to justify every sin under the sun is the most noxious piece of drivel I've ever heard.

Yes, God is love; He is also holy. His holiness demands punishment for sin; His love forgives sin. A paradox? Nope!

Because of His love, He sent His Son to earth to do something no human being is capable of doing--live a sinless life. The fact that Jesus is 100% God AND man made this possible. He voluntarily gave His life so those who trust Him as their sin bearer can be made right with God.

God's justice is satisfied through the finished work of Christ for all who will accept it. God's love is demonstrated in that "while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

God doesn't hate gays and lesbians; He hates sin. He hates homosexuality the same way He hates fornication and adultery. Gays and lesbians need to come through the same narrow gate that the rest of humanity does (Christ) to be made right with God.

Many Christians were at one time gays and lesbians and God doesn't "supposedly" do anything. Humans are the supposedly bunch.
In addition, love is God and not blanket approval of every human life style or set of desires.

God gave many of us life who were dead in trespasses and sins. In times past many of us walked according to the course of this word, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.**

There is no distinction between homosexual and heterosexual in this matter. The question is release from spiritual death. This release is promoted (offered to all men) by the love of God.

God does love all.. and he promotes love towards all... but because homosexuality is misunderstood by most people christians or not, it tends to be scary as well...i dont know about you but its really hard to love something your are scared of... remember we are all human no matter what are beliefs are.... at any rate i think its something that we all need to study more in the bible in order to find peace and understanding.

You are generalizing and not all Christians fall into your assumed category. I am not against anyone who is gay. What I am against is the practice of homosexuality as I know it to be immoral and against God's teaching. I think those who are gay or lesbian should be chaste in their state in life. God "does" promote love to all, but He doesn't promote acceptance of immoral acts or behavior.

As God loves the sinner but not the sin, we as Christians should love the sinners but not the sin. God says that homosexuality is wrong, is a sin and is an abomination. So I am not against the homosexual but I am against the lifestyle that God said is wrong.

God instructs both brotherly love via Jesus and bigotry via the rest of the bible. I'm under the impression that God has a bit of an identity crisis. That can happen when you're a logically impossible paradox. Or imaginary.

God does love all mankind. (John 3:16) He has given them the
chance to show their love for him by reading the Bible and learning what he requires of each of us. The Bible shows that
whatever we have done we can change if we want to. By studying
and makeing changes in our life style (1Corinthians 6:9-11) we can do what God requires of us.

God has love towards all but some (not all) Christians may not. It's all based on how they interpret the bible!

God loves all. That's why He wants us to do according to His will, and not as we might want to.

Just because He loves us doesn't mean we're going to heaven.

1 Corinthians 6:9 ¶Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
