Hunny, the best bet simple and easy the jar in super market but heres a simple recipe if you like to take time.1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, grated
3/4 c. heavy cream
Melt butter in saucepan; add cream and cheese. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Do Not Boil. Serve over hot fettuccine noodles.
Serves 4.
Now if you really want to put some effort into it
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
1 cup cream (or half and half or milk)
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup shredded Italian cheeses (Mozzarella, Romano, etc.)
1/2 cup Parmesano Reggiano cheese (or plain Parmesan)
3 tablespoons fresh or 1-2 tablespoons dried parsley
4-5 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon fresh nutmeg
1/4 cup sherry or white wine
salt and pepper
Melt butter and add flour. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly to cook flour. Add cream and broth all at once and blend well. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until cheese has melted and sauce is smooth.( I personally do not like using mozz. too stringy)

I can assure you that this is the BEST and easiest alfredo recipe. If you don't love it, you are sik.
My husband begs for this sauce. Try this before you try any other sauce. Just be sure to stir very, very frequently so there are no lumps.
1/2 cup (one stick) butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 cups milk (whole works best)
6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DIRECTIONS:
Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan (a double boiler works great) over medium heat. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth. Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps. Stir in Parmesan and pepper. Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency. Sauce will thicken rapidly, thin with milk if cooked too long. Toss with hot pasta to serve.

Melt a pat of butter in a small saucepan. Add a minced clove of garlic and saute for 30 seconds. Add 1 quart of heavy whipping cream and two tablespoons of chicken base. Heat while stirring on medium until just under the boiling point. Be carefull not to let it boil over or burn on the bottom of the pan. Let it cool in the fridge and add 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese. ENJOY!!

Fettuccine with Cream, Basil and Romano
Ingredients
(4 servings)
4 ea Bacon slices; chopped thick
1/2 c Whipping cream
1 x Or:
1/3 c Basil; chopped fresh
1 x Salt and freshly ground pepp
1 x Romano; freshly grated
4 ea Green onions; chopped
1/2 c Parmesan; freshly grated
1/2 c Romano; freshly grated
1/2 lb Fettuccine
1 x Parmesan; freshly grated
Instructions
Cook bacon in heavy medium skillet over medium heat until beginning to brown. Add green onions and stir until softened, about 1 minute. Add cream and simmer until beginning to thicken, about 1 minute. Mix in 1/2 cup Romano cheese and chopped fresh basil. Meanwhile, cook fettuccine in large pot of boiling salted water until just tender but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally. Drain well. Return to hot pot. Add sauce and stir to coat. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately, passing additional cheese separately. *** My notes: When I made this, I used 1 cup whipping cream, 1/2 cup each Parmesan and Romano, 1 tbsp dried basil, and substituted 4 or 5 thin slices of Prosciutto for the bacon- frying slightly in butter. I used about 6 ounces of "Pesto Linguini", which is a thinner pasta containing basil. We like LOTS of sauce!

um milk, cheese, chopped parsley, cilantro, or spinach, pinch of salt, pepper, and whatever else herbs you like, cook on low heat.
There are packets you can buy at the store of premixed stuff that you could start out with.
Or you know just buy some alfredo sauce.

I've never made alfredo sauce from scratch before. I can tell you my favorite kind is available at Walmart (only place I've seen it so far). It is Sun-Dried Tomato Alfredo from Classico.
If you really want to make it from scratch I would recommed trying to locate a recipe on www.bhg.com.
