Use your current legal name. My wife and I married last year and dealt with the same issue. It will take a few weeks for your marriage certificate to become ready, and you cannot change your name legally until you obtain a certified copy. Because airlines require government ID and you won't be able to change your ID right away you can see that using your maiden name will be mandetory. Good luck and congrats!

Pre-airport problems I would say use your husbands name, but unless you are going on your honeymoon 6-7 weeks after the wedding , I would go with the maiden name for the airline tickets. With all the problems you run into at the airport these days it will just make it easier. Also you might want to see what they suggest or require with the airline. Good Luck and have fun.

It's not a question of what sounds nice to you or your fiance, it's all about the paperwork. If you're leaving the country, your passport name must match your ticket name, period.
If you are traveling within the country, make sure that your driver's license matches. The DMV in the state of California needs a copy of the marriage certificate for the name change, but check with your own state Department of Motor Vehicles for requirements.
In the end, your future husband is marrying you, not your name. It will be much easier to leave on your honeymoon with your current name. The exception is if your honeymoon is a couple of months after your wedding, which will give you enough time for the name change (it takes 6 to 8 weeks for most DMV's to mail a new license, so get on it right away).

Use your maiden name. Your tickets, license, and passport all need to match. Even though you are married, your name change will not be official until you do it through social security and the dmv. You cannot take your husband's name until the marriage certificate has been signed, sent to the county, and returned with the official seal. You cannot get your name changed before the wedding.

You won't be able to travel if you use your married name on the tickets. All your IDs and your passport will still say your maiden name. You change your name after the honeymoon travelling is over.

Use your old name but carry a copy of the marage licence just in case. Airlines require varification. Changing everything else takes a lot of time. I did it with my wife and it took a whole day! I'd suggest waiting until after the honeymoon. Enjoy the moments now and I am sure you have enough to plan and deal with already. Plus it is easier after the wedding date. I'd also suggest to plan what needs to be changed so when you do change your name on important items you have a checklist and it may make you realize more needs to be changed than what you think. Have fun and good luck.

When you go to get your tickets, and when you board the plane you will have to hand the tickets over with your license. Are you waiting until after you change your license before you leave on your vacation or are you going to do this after you return from your honeymoon? If you have your new name on your license at the time of your honeymoon use your new name otherwise use your current name or you will run afoul of the airlines.

These are the days of super security at airports around the world. Your I.D. which you will have to show several times before you board a plane has to match the name on your ticket.
All the people who are say oh just use your new name lol have obviously not flown since 9/11! Unless you have legally changed all of I.D. including passport for abroad travel even to Mexico and Canada you have to use the name on you current I.D.!
And you cannot legally change any of your I.D.'s til after you are legally married and have a marriage certificate! So Maiden name only. Ticket and I.D. will match.
Congrads! Have a long and happy marriage.

The name on your passport is the name you should use.
Obviously after you get married and you assume your husband's surname you would have to get all your personal documentation changed to your new legal name. This process takes some time to complete and if your wedding / honeymoon is coming up soon you should do it afterwards.
Congrats!

Wait until you get back. First plan the wedding, plan the honeymoon. ENJOY THE HONEYMOON ;) and then get everything done when you get back. That way you have enough stress planning the wedding and stuff. Plus it leaves more time to spend with your husband before the honeymoon and during the honeymoon. There is no rush to change the name ;)
