35 and over: Do you still have a role model and who is it? and Why?

I do. . . at 40 years old, I still look to my father as an example of being a good husband, father and man in general.

Anyway, my role model is obviously God, and that is because he has always been there for me when I needed him, and so far has never let me down.

Sorry, but as I've gotten older I've come to the personal conclusion that, generally speaking, I can't rely on others. Perhaps I've become cynical but most people seem to want something in return. Doctors want money. Politicians want votes. Religious leaders want people to convert to their way of thinking.

Role models? Just myself. Because all I want for myself is my happiness and well-being.

He's my role model for his unfailing sense of humor and un- put-down-ability in all situations, even the most difficult ones.

Yes, Mr. Fred Rogers and the more I learn about him, the more I learn he was just an honestly good man. He loved children and saw a need for children to understand their emotions and went up against some big odds to get where he ended up.
