You know if you do something (or nothing ) for long enough you will die of old age anyway. Aspartame will be less likely to have detrimental effects than excess sugar consumption, which has been PROVEN to hurt people. Good Luck!

When I was pregnant 18 years ago with my first my ob said not to drink diet soda because we did not know what apratame does to a developing fetus. Why chance it?

I heard diet soda caused cancer in rats.but i never heard of a human dying of too much diet soda.
