Are you proud to be standing for the queen(as the song points out) or is it more of a country thing?

Im sorry, the country is in such a state, i dont go out that much for fear of being mugged/stabbed etc, and standing up surrounded by a group , so they can reach in my pocket that much easier.... no way

the queen is where she is because, of her families violent history and the violence of her subjects.. not something to celebrate.. neither is the country

land of hope and glory my ***

I'm proud of both the Queen and my Nation. When I hear that anthem, it fills me with intense pride. When I'm on a parade and hear it, I hold my head high and feel blessed that I was lucky enough to be born into such a great Nation.

I will stand for the National anthem whether I'm in uniform or simply walking along the road. I have before in my home town centre, when some sort of political thing was happening in front of the town hall. The people I was with weren't going to do it, but I stopped and faced the flag as the National Anthem played.

I'm not talking crap, this is exactly how I feel. I am a patriot. Proud to serve.

Not that I go to many events were the National Anthem is played but, yes I would stand up and be proud to do so as I am proud of been British and value patriotism, it brings us together as a country.

I stand for the Queen as head of my country the same as I would stand for the King as Head of my country. It is being proud of our nation and proud of the figure head of our Nation.
Long live the Queen, God bless 'er! Shame the rest of the family are all a bit stupid but hey thats families for you!

I stand unless I am the one playing it (which is usually the case) but I think it is more out of habit than out of loyalty or respect for the Queen and Nation.

Actually I don't stand for the anthem because i think it's pointless. i am sometimes proud of my country (and sometimes deeply ashamed), not a fan of the royals but what it comes down to is why stand up for a piece of music?

I don't stand for the national anthem because I am physically unable to. If I could, I don't think I would though as I think the monarchy is an outdated concept.
