I know "most" cats HATE water. my 2 year old female can't stand the sight of any water(except her water bowl). but my kitten absolutly loves it!!!! it's soooooo funny to watch. I obviously can't use a spray bottle full of water for trying to train him to stay off of things. LOL!!! my kitties a little crazy. I wasn't going to ask a question I just wanted to see what you would say about my water kitty!!! oh, but for some reason he hates baths. go figure!!! makes no sense to me!! =^-^=

That's not my cat but cats actually love water - they just hate to be bathed which makes people think they hate water. In fact, one of the nicest thigns you can buy a cat are drinkwells - http://cats.about.com/cs/productreviews/fr/drinkwell.htm - they are basically water fountains for cats, and we have 3 at the house for them.
We've got 3 kitties :) The oldest one looks down the toilet when flushed, but I don't think he'll ever figure out how to flush it himself. The younger one is my baby, and she will prop up on the bathtub and watch the water fall and get a little wet sometimes. The youngest one doesn't seem to care much about it yet.
Cats love water ^_^

There are some cats that like water, but if they don't want to take a bath, They won't be too happy to. I have a friend, and her cats climb into her pool and swim. It's natural for some cats.
I think it is weird, considering the rumors that have went about cats, about how they hate water, but just goes to show, not all cats do!

Some cats do love water they can play with. A bath would be way too much, but my cat loves it if I leave the hose on trickling and bats the water and plays in it happily. Enjoy the fun!

How cute! My Mom's cat does the same thing. She has to keep the toilet lid down as her cat is loves to chase the water when you flush it or jumps in the sink when you turn the water on. Crazy kitty!

Ive very own 5 cats and maximum kittens will poo in unusual small places cos it makes them sense mushy. My cat used to poo in the back of the settee. If it has a clutter tray %. the poo up out of the sink and positioned it in its tray and bring your kitten down with you. Make him watch each and every thing. Or attempt spraying it with water on each and every occasion it gets close to the sink OR close the bathing room door TIGHT. solid success wish shes solid for ya

I have a ferret who is the same way. Out of four ferrets, three HATE water- with a passion. But little Piper, who doesn't like actually getting a bath, will swim around and go diving in a bowl/tub with clear, clean water. They're used to having one of those lickable water bottles in their cage, so when they get a water bowl when I let them out of the cage in the summer, she'll stand there and dunk her head in it! It looks like she's bobbing for apples.

Okay. Well, we once had a cat. When we got rid of the cat. We gave it to a friend who had a pool. We discovered the cat LOVED to swim in the pool. So not all cats hate water.

You can still train the kitty with a spray bottle. It will still scare him. My cat loves to watch the toilet flushing.

my 2 cats love to play in dripping faucets in their drink well pet fountain. so as you said with that they don't respond to the spray bottle to stop them from doing stuff. though I have never and hope I never have to give them a bath because I really don't think that they would appreciate it very much.
but they are indoor cats and I will take them outside occationally on leashes so they are always supervised so they aren't going to get into anything that we would have to wash off of them.
