I've been seeing a wonderful man for about 2 months now, and until last night never talked about my sexual past. He used to be something of a 'ladies man' and doesnt feel it's his place to judge anyone. Well last night he learned that he's only my second, and that in the past i move VERY slowly with men because for a long time sexual contact made me physically ill because I was raped as a preteen.
He knew that i'd been raped and that when I was younger I was shy around sex.. he didn't know that I was still pretty shy about it, basically with everyone but him (physically we moved pretty fast).

He didn't say much about it, got quiet. Basically said that he expected a few more guys on my list and asked why I wasn't so slow moving with him (i gave a joke excuse)

What do you think he's thinking?
NOTE: We're both early 20's and his number is about the same as his age - and he does think lowly of himself because it's high

I wouldn't worry too much, it seems he is just letting it sink in.
I think most guys would be happy to meet a lady who has not "been around" all that much. Less to compare him with. Give him some time to let things soak in.

Nothing. Doesn't care about your past, in fact he's probably happy that he's not the 1 billionth person you've slept with so he's happy about that but is afraid that you'll be over-attached, and excessively needy as a result of your unfortunate experience as a child.

baby girl, if he fully understood you and your past, then he should give you as much time as you need to feel comfortable. of course he doesn't undertand this since he doesn't know how rape can affect a person mentally. if it meant to be, then he'll give you your space and time. i'd dated some raped victims in the past, and the best way is to let that person decide when she is ready.

If a man really love a woman, the kind of love that says, no matter what, we never think of the past of the person we love because it doesn't matter as i say.

I think he just wants all the details just to make sure you are not pulling his leg... i am sure he's ecstatic about that... we men love it when our women make exceptions for us... it's probably the biggest turn on in history, when a women tells you that she just couldn't control herself when she saw / met you....

so don't think too much about it and have fun with him, i am sure he really loves you for saying that...
