if you love her, set her free.
if she comes back, then you decide.
tradition or not, no offence but sometimes a girl feels insecure if a guy is younger than her because she might feel like "big sis". but for me i don't think a small difference in age matters as long as we love each other.

No matter what you may hope for, she will not regret her decision. The problem is that for however long you are together, that one year of difference would have nagged at her and bothered her. Eventually she would have just sent you away anyway. Someday she may feel differently about the age difference and want you back. But it will not be out if regret. The best you can do is stick around her and lead your own life. If she decides to come back to you, you can then make a decision if you still want her or not. But there is nothing you can do to make her want you back now.

Why would age make a difference. especially 1 year or less than 12 months. you are the same age. nothing to do with tradition.
My wife is 2 years older than me and we have a wonderful marriage. if you were 15 - 20 year age difference. that i could understand that would be a generation.follow your heart. it is the rational thing to do. good luck

Sorry to say, but she's just saying this as an excuse. There is no stigma attached to a year difference in age. Now, if she were 25 and you were 18, it might be a different story. I really think she was trying to spare your feelings. You'll get over her in time. Good luck.

She will regret it. However, she might have just used age as an excuse to let him off easy. Age is just a number since there both adults. Love has no age. All he can do is talk to her about the way he feels.

They're only a year apart. She's full of it. She's just using it as an excuse to get out of the relationship. She needs to be a true woman and state the truth. Age doesn't matter.

she sounds confused. i feel sorry for the guy as he doesnt know where he stands with her.
she cant just lead him on and then decide, no it wont work out. she has to either leave him or accept the age difference. they are both young so maybe marriage isnt an option at all. you could be worrying about this for nothing.

she'll regret following tradition, but i don't think that's really going to be the case here now these days. especially young people. when you say you love someone, you should mean it. in other words, mean it before you say it. but these days, that word comes out now as an excuse to get laid or not to hurt someone while breaking up when they find somebody else.

that's not a good enough excuse not to want to be with some she's one year older then him now ten years she's confused i would tell him to tell her how he feels about her and let her know age is nothing but a number and her love for him should be more then that tel her a year isn't so bad and that wouldn't hurt your relationship unless she want it to and if she doesn't understand then move on with your life she doesn't want to be with you

only 1 year difference doesnt matter. She used that as a stupid excuse to dump his ***. He should get over, especially if thats the best she could come up with.
