I believe that children should be taught, Everything. The more they know, the more they can make intelligent, informed decisions for themselves. They are individuals and independent thinking is an asset in the world we live in. I have four grown children who were brought up to think, to be openminded, and make informed decisions for themselves. They all have made their lives as They wish. What a blessing they are!!

That's the way it should be. I am happy to know there are parents like you in the world. Your children are lucky to have open-minded parents who are giving them the tools and information to make their own informed decisions rather then TELLING them what to believe and not even encouraging them to research WHY they believe a certain thing.

Congrats on being good parents!

Blessings and Light!

Yes, I wholeheartedly agree!!! I was raised Christian with no consideration for other religions. I felt this was wrong, even as a child.. I always wondered why my parents didn't want me to play with my Muslim friend at school or why we couldn't celebrate Hannukah too. Or why I couldn't go my neighbor's house because they were atheists.

It took a while but I'm now agnostic. I will teach my kids (they're too young now) that there are other religions out there but they don't have to join one if they don't feel at peace with any particular one. I don't think it's necessary since god does not belong to a religion.

I'd like them to know that they have to be good persons so that they can go without anybody or anything else.

I'd like them to know that success is all about using what they have efficiently and not thinking about what they don't have.
