The General Instruction of the Roman Missal, section 322 states:
The wine for the Eucharistic celebration must be from the fruit of the grapevine (cf. Luke 22:18), natural, and unadulterated, that is, without admixture of extraneous substances.
Other than fulfilling this requirement, any wine is acceptable.
With love in Christ.

Grape juice is not used for Catholic Masses, it does have to be wine. There are a number of companies that make altar or sacramental wine - one that comes to mind is Cribari. Altar wine can be sweet or dry, red or white, it comes in many varieties. I was on the pastoral committee for my church about 5 years ago and the church was buying a very dry wine which was downright nasty. We actually did a wine tasting to find something that people would not mind drinking. Then we switched again to something in between because people were taking BIG sips at communion!

I am a Eucharistic Minister and I have noticed it's a common variety red grape wine out of New York that comes in a glass bottle with a screw cap. Ask your priest the brand name; I am sure many wine companies sell to churches.

Any wine can be used, but there are a number of companies selling wine especially for communion.
The type of wine usually chosen by churches is inexpensive, sweet and will last a long time open before going off.

I don't think there is a standard. Some old fashioned wineries produce "altar wine" but it's becoming pretty rare.
When I was an alter server (nearly 20 years ago) they were just using good ol' Beringer Rose. Nothing special about that.

The most usual wine used at Mass is either Port or Burgundy and is produced by Christian Brothers winery. This has been a tradition for years.

It could be one of several, and many different brands. If you particularly like the taste of a particular communion wine, ask teh priest at the church what it is and where they get it.
