Even as I beheld the sunset, saw God's Glory reflected in a clear mountain lake, did I feel the pang.
I had the joint rolled afore time, a fat, sticky greenbudder with a thick strip of Kashmiri hash running right up the core, rolled on hemp paper. As splendid a spliff as is under God's eye.
But now I realise that I've lost my lighter. And that I could use another hashish shake. And that a double-order of fried potatoes and onions might hit the spot. I'm going to have to call room service.
But the phone is on the far edge of a very soft bed. I really don't feel like moving. I see the phone out of the corner of my eye, taunting me. God taunts me.
I know, I know, "Why don't you bellow to the hall attendant? He'll have you fixed up with a new Bic and a hash shake and a plate of 'taters in three shakes."
But.... well yeah, I could do that. It's just that I'm so very comfortable where I am. I don't want to move.
WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME???????

It seems, my friends, that Hunter S. Thompson is not dead; verily, he and the grand master Timothy Leary are no longer on the outside looking in, but channeled by brother Melvin, who, good horse that he is, obliges the spirits in keeping higher than mortal man can bear, that they might be eternally energized in the outer realms. Hail wanderers! Hail Melvin!

A grand tale of human excess. Just grand. Makes me hanker for a shake or two meself. But this is the shake free land of camels and death sentences, and green is not a national colour

Reading the question repeatedly makes me declare that your God has NOT abandoned you. And for that, kindly express your gratefulness to Him in as varied a ways and as oftener as you humanly can.May you be Blessed. It was indeed a right question in Religion and Spirituality forum, that one shares with fellow humans of any Faith and Belief.

GOD doesnt abandon anyone. it is we who abandon GOD. GOD loves us all very much, more than its possible to understand with a human mind. It is we as humans who have the conscious ability to choose GOD or not . It is through our actions that we accapt GODS love or turn our backs on him. GOD never wants to loose anyone. But he gives each of us the power to choose wether we will accapt him or not. Consider whether your actions and attitudes keep you from GOD rather than asking why he has left you, he hasnt.

Doesn't sound like He's forsaken you, it sounds like he was right there giving you exactly what you need. He closed the doors on your bad decisions.
Though...I know none of that was true anyway. All you are doing is making fun of us, but hey, it takes all people to make the world, so you are most definitely welcome to post ridiculous questions like that if you feel it will accomplish something.
Has it?

Yeah. Reject him. That's the only thing you can do back. Now go get the Devil to offer you a flame to light your joint for you, and bask in the eternal caverns.

Even in the worst time of my life, I never felt abandoned. I was angry, but I never thought for a second that God and I were separated.

The question is too long and boring. When you come out of your drug induced lethargy, God will be there like He always is.
