EVERY time i put the key in the ignition the power motor for the antenna goes into action,,,i checked the owners manual and it says that the motor should only activate when both the key is in the ignition, (acc position or engine running) AND the radio is turned on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks,,,oh and it's a 1984 Toyota Cressida Station Wagon

So what is the question? If the question is "How can I change the way the antenna behaves?", the answer is to hook the antenna wire to the correct wire behind your radio. Right now, it sounds like the antenna wire is hooked to the remote turn on wire.

I bet you let those Best Buy guys put in your radio, didn't you?

Must be a ground wire lose, go to the base of your antenna and clean the connectors maybe is just that. If your radio works OK don worried just get use to, if that bother you so much take the car to a place that install radios and antennas and they will fix that problem for you.I hope this will help you .
