Ok. Anorexia is a disease that is sometimes caused by the need to control ones life or surroundings. If you feel like you don't have any control over your life and can't make your own decisions, this could be your way of controlling things, by controlling your food intake to the extreme. If you can identify why you are anorexic, not blaming your mother's problem with eating, but focusing on your own ideas about food, then you can start to control it. You can control other aspects of your life instead.

That being said, it's a long process and if you know that you need to eat more, eat more. Maybe watch some movies with Queen Latifa in them. She is pretty and bigger than you will probably ever be and she is confident as all get out! Take a long, hard look at yourself in the mirror and, instead of looking at all of those little problem areas, take a look at your face and what makes you a beautiful young woman. Focus on the good in you such as your personality and your talents.

You can overcome this. It is your brain doing this to you. You must be strong and know what is right and wrong. You know you are too thin and have a problem, yet you are eating less. If you know the problem, then eat more. You will not get fat if you eat regular meals. Don't let your mother's problem influence you. She obviously has problems of her own. She feels the need to control her surroundings by controlling her body too. I don't know what her circumstances are but that is HER mental problem to overcome, not yours.

You just need to be strong and pull it together. Make yourself eat something. Don't make yourself sick. Stop when you are full and take time with yourself. Eat to live. If you are going for a run, eat some bread or pasta before hand.

Also, if you want to be thin, you should drink some milk after exercise and eat lots of protein. That will help you build muscle. Women don't bulk up from muscle if they are not on steroids. Angelina Jolie has lots of muscle and she is tiny. The more muscle you build by eating right and exercising, the better you will look.

You must be stronger than YOURSELF. This is the same as any other harmful addiction. You have to say that this is enough and stop doing this to yourself. It's a battle against your OWN mind.

I can say I know what you're going through, because for most of my teen years I turned to food for comfort,(weighing in at 200lbs by my 16th b-day) the flip side of what you have, but I think of it as two sides of the same problem. There are so many support groups out there nowadays that could help you. You need the help of a grown up, and it doesn't have to be your mom since she is going through the same thing you are. Try your councillor at school, or just search the web for websites that can help. Just remember that you are not the first person this has happened to, and you won't be the last. I would say remembering that fact was what helped me the most. Your friends need to know what's going on so that they can help you. You can't do this alone. You will need people who care about you to help you.

That's a tough one, this is even a tough situations for professionals.

The problem is that what is needed in your case is a change in your mind. Something forces you into a life style that makes you lose weight until you die. So you have to break through it.

Basically you're the only person to help. You have to understand that bigger or fatter is beautiful somehow. And it really is true.

What happens to you if you are confronted with food. Don't you like the taste ? Do you vomit afterwards ? Do you just skip the meals ?

GUYS DONT LIKE SUPER SKINNY GIRLS, this fascination of looking real thin is unreal and not good looking. Why dont girls understand that guys like meat on their woman, theres more to hold, plus the skinnier you get the more it takes away from guys' two favorite body parts...Breasts and Butts. If you're too skinny it takes that away and becomes unattractive. You're also taking away from one the best enjoyments of daily life, enjoying a nice meal. WHy would anyone want to take away that enjoyment away for something so superficial as in how you look. If someone doesnt love you for who you are they a shallow rejects who aren't worth your time to begin with. The sooner you realize that the sooner you'll start enjoying life. I eat healthy foods and excersise, this is much more attractive than the way you're doing it. Dont be scared of food think of it as your friend, food is nourishing and protein builds muscle. You look at food as an enemy when really its your friend. With Diet and excersise you'll realize you were approaching it all the wrong way. Step back at realize what Im saying and the better you'll start enjoying your life instead of fearing it.

Seems as though you have an influence (your mother) to keep your problem continuing. I would suggest you get into some program (for anorexics), surely there is something on the internet (yahoo search engine), a support group, a doctor, etc. but get help immediately. If you can't afford it ask your county if they can help. But get there.

There are some website with people who have gone through the same thing.
Maybe a therapist could help. Nobody is perfect. And what matters more than weight is who you are on the inside.

You need to pick up the phone and call your local police station. They will be able to help you and let you know who to call. If you don't want them coming to your house, why don't you try to get down there and talk to them? You have no reason to feel this way and you need to get better.

Crap. It sounds like you are out of options. I don't know. Learn to like yourself. You know. You want to live, you need to eat to do it. Human skeleton does not cut it.

Look in a mirror and say you like yourself. Look at yourself. Decide what you want for yourself.

You do matter. Start to care about yourself for what you are.

I'd go to Yahoo! Maps Beta (beta.maps.yahoo.com) and search for therapists.
