Alcohol is a depressant and a lot of people that are alcoholics can't perform sexualy because they lose their sex drive. Of course. they may try to make up for the loss of sex by being a sweet talker.
Of course there is always hope for them but it takes a lot of determination and deisre for them to give up the alcohol. If you are involved with someone like this, remember that you can't make them quit; it is up to the individual to decide for themseves what they want.
