I hope you have seen a doctor. There are some great prescription medicines that can prevent the joint damage and pain of rheumatoid arthritis.
Of course any heat helps. Aspirin and INSAIDS too, like Ibuprofen.
I have had joint pain relief from high gauz magnets. You would need to find someone in electronics to find some( maybe on eBay). Sleeping with the magnets on a painful site is great!

Eat hot foods spiced with cayenne pepper. That helps too over time. And Glucosamine Chondroitin from Walgreen's in the 1000 mg per day strength. Cheaper ones don't work.

There is a good topical cream that helps too called Biofreeze. No odor.

The best thing to do after you have treated yourself, is to make friends with your pain. I know it sounds weird! But when you wake up instead of saying,"Oh gosh, look what you are keeping me from doing Pain!". say" "Good morning Pain!. Let's see what you and I can do together today".
Then at night, compliment yourself on the good things you have done.
Good luck to you.

I hope u have a good doctor who specializes in Arthritis, not just a family doctor. Try heat soaks before getting up fully it may help. Also medication, wait a while, then get up. Good luck to you.

If you've got real rheumatoid arthritis and it is ACTIVE......aspirin and aleve and the other NSAID's aren't going to help. Try heroin. That's about it.

Doctors can't or won't help you. I have had some success with Emu Oil. I think I ordered it from Naples, Florida. Also, Dr. Franks's pain free spray (I think) has helped me some.
